Melody Belle – true vintage 1970s wedding dress.
If Ginger Rogers had married in the 1970s, she might have worn Melody Belle. This true vintage gown is a glorious example of that particular 1970s obsession with the glamour of the 1930s. She's got all the drama ... without the shoulder pads.
Crafted in soft white satin with a medieval vibe and in remarkable condition for her fifty years, Melody Belle has a pointed empire-line bodice that rises at the centre in a way that’s surprisingly modern. But it’s the scoop neckline, dripping with intricate silver thread and beading, that truly catches the eye.
Her sleeves are a showstopper. Fitted from wrist to elbow, then sweeping out into that dreamy bishop shape that could only be 1970s. The A-line skirt flows softly into a neat train—perfect for wafting around a registry office, or dancing barefoot in a meadow.
