If 1980s Lady Di had done a photoshoot for Just Seventeen dressed as a posh Georgian milkmaid, it might have looked something like this.

This hyper-80s original vintage wedding dress is a satin showstopper – unapologetically romantic, and about as far from minimalism as you can get. There’s something gloriously extra about it – but it’s still undeniably bridal.

The sleeves are classic 80s puffs, and can be styled on or off the shoulder, depending on your level of drama. The full-length satin skirt flows beautifully and has that swishy princess feel. I’ve styled it here with and without a pink ribbon at the waist – the dress works either way, but I love that little nod to Marie Antoinette-meets-Monarch's-wedding-day.

This is a true vintage wedding gown, in excellent condition, and brilliantly white and a real statement piece for a bride who’s not afraid of fashion history. Perfect for a 1980s-themed wedding, a retro bride with a sense of humour, or anyone who believes more is more.
