A true 1970s original, channelling medieval romance with more than a whiff of mysticism. High collar, empire-line bodice and a sweeping A-line shape — all overlaid with a semi-sheer lace coat that turns into a cathedral-length train. Think Guinevere at Glastonbury, Galadriel in Gossamer, or yes, Gilead gone rogue.
And then there’s the hood. Oh yes, there’s a hood — trimmed with daisy-white braid, just like the angel sleeves that would make any self-respecting sorceress swoon. It’s giving Game of Thrones finale, The Handmaid’s Tale epilogue, and 70s folk-horror heroine running dramatically through a moor energy. In short, it’s magnificent.
• True vintage, circa late 1970s
• High collar and empire waist bodice—beautifully modest and subversively striking
• Full-length lace overlay like a bridal cloak
• Floor-length A-line underdress
• Long train for trailing solemnly (or rebelliously) down the aisle
• Sleeves of glory—angelic, vast, and made to swish
• Fully edged in white daisy braid (because even mystics love a bit of whimsy)
• Size 8
Beverley says:
"She’s for the bride who loves fantasy—but not fluff. The sort who reads feminist reimaginings of Arthurian legends and gets annoyed when elves don’t have proper political systems. Highly individual, unapologetically magical, and just a little bit spooky. In the best possible way."

About True Vintage:
This is an original 1970s gown. It’s been carefully cleaned and is in beautiful condition, but vintage dresses often have little signs of their age—like laugh lines in a good face.
